wiki, apache server.
if you do not know what it is should you use it?
if you have configerd php shuld’nt you know what apache is! remember to tell apache to use PHP! utherwis you seem to get this error, or a display of the php file.
Everytime I try to preview a php file, it tells me to download it, what is an apache web server?
Try asking your question again as i do not understand. he has not come back to me so i gess the problem was solved.
Same prob with him, but, wth is a apache server?!
It looks like the php files have not installed correctly. Uninstall and remove the php lines in the apache config file, and then reinstall. Remember to tell the php installer the correct version of apache and the location of the conf file. I think the newer php version does not require the codes from the web site so you could always try without and if they are needed put them in.
thanks awesome tutorial. great job
Thank You very much!
installed, works perfect!
Thank you!
+5!
PHP can be used for many “server side” calculations, controls and more. as an example I have a PHP conter on one web page and on another the PHP controls a remote controld car with a webcam on top.
Awesome…installed perfectly like you said!….now what can I do with php….
Alright I got a vid coming to show what is happening, it’s uploading
Um yeah, I know, the CONF file is giving me error’s “Could not create path “C:\[Apache blabla]“
you forgot to tell the PHP installer where the apache config file is. remember it is in the apache forlder then the conf file. also have the config file closed as it may be unable to change it when it is open.
So what you are saying is that you do not have apache downloaded and installed? As this is part 4 you will need to look at “Setting up a web server for free with apache” this shows you how to setup apache. PHP allows the server to do calculations before the page is loaded, this can make it easy to make webpages that can store information on one page rather than the entire site, but that is only 1 out of millions it can do.
Alright, What I am saying is, Why does it keep bringing up a download thing, when I click open nothing happens, and why do I need apache web server?it doesn’t even work for me >:(((
I still do not get what you are saying. This video is part 4 of setting up an apache server with some extras, hence the title “Setup PHP On To The Apache Web Server”.
when you reply please try not to add symbols and shortened words because my screen reader dose not understand them.
Yes sir you are right I just stopped it till config..but we have to place till “config/” that was my mistake..thank you so much..you really helped out..Many a thanks..
Did you get an error in the PHP installer?
Remember you need to select where you have installed apache and the location of its config file. Also remember to select the apache vershen 2.2.xx. Then open your apache config file to add the lines of code from the web site.
Nice video..but im not able to get the following line in the Apache config file.
#begin …this isnt present in my note pad
